Settings file support

General information about the Settings file

In order to run icmGate software, the Settings.txt file must be properly configured. It is responsible for the configuration of communication between the device and the server as well as the reader functionality.

The "Settings" file is opened by using the command:

vi Settings.txt

To make a change, press the " a " key.

Use the keyboard arrows to move to the selected option and change the value.

Warning! Remember that each option and value assigned to it is separated by the " ; " character.

Example:

INFO_PORT;4001
REMOVE_AFTER_MS;10000

To confirm changes, press the " Esc " key.

The icon next to the file name in the bottom part informs us whether we have turned off the edit mode.

Then enter the " wq " command and confirm with " enter ".

If the user wants to exit the configuration file without saving the changes, he proceeds in the same way, except that instead of the " wq " command he uses " q! ".
